Get Involved

Join the party, volunteer, become a PCO, or give to the campaign fund.

Do you identify as a Democrat? Take the next step and make it official. There are four ways to be part of the Whatcom Democrats, and you can be involved as much or as little as you like.

  • Join the party

Membership makes it official and gives you a vote on the endorsements and resolutions that direct where our resources go.*

    * Endorsement and resolution voting opens 14 days after you join and pay your dues.

    Join or renew
  • Volunteer

Doorbelling, phone calls, parades, letters to the editor, office help. Campaign season starts in June.

    Ways to volunteer
  • Become a PCO

The Precinct Committee Officer is the party’s representative in each neighborhood, elected every two years by voters in their precinct.

    About the role
  • Give to the campaign fund

Donations let us hire campaign staff, send mailers, phone and text, and help endorsed Democrats get elected.

Benefits of membership

  • Being part of a strong local Democratic Party that is ready to put Democrats in every elected office.
  • The ability to vote on party endorsements of candidates, issues, and resolutions. These are the decisions that direct our resources and energy toward supporting what’s most important to local Democrats.
  • The opportunity to help shape the future of the Whatcom Democrats through involvement participation on committees that make decisions about the direction and activities of the party.
  • You can be involved as much or as little as you like. Your support is appreciated and valued, no matter at what level.
