Volunteer
Ways to volunteer with the Whatcom County Democrats: campaigns, committees, office help, letters to the editor.
Volunteer with us
Tell us what you would like to do and we will be in touch. Every bit helps, from an hour a month to running a program.
Whether you are focused on local, national, or international issues, electing the right leaders comes down to local campaign organizing. When campaign season starts, typically in June, the Whatcom Democrats swing into action.

Help in the office
Office volunteers answer phones, do simple data entry, light housekeeping, stuffing envelopes, and organizing signs and literature. There are always options, so if you do not feel comfortable with one kind of task, you can work on another.
Letters to the editor
Our letters to the editor group meets monthly by Zoom to discuss issues, hear from candidates, and plan letters.
Be a Precinct Committee Officer
The PCO is the party’s representative in each neighborhood, elected every two years by voters in their precinct or appointed by the Chair where a seat is open. To check whether your neighborhood has a PCO, find your precinct on the map: it shows every precinct, its PCO, and the seats that are open.
